There is a busline 1 driving both ways every 15 minutes. You just need to give the driver a sign & he stops to catch you up. So there are no specific bus stops. When you want to get out just call him to stop.
Locals do pay 7.000vnd & for tourists they charge you 20.000vnd, which is unfair but that's how it works. The cashier is coming to your seat during the drive to collect the money.
Mui Ne is really just one long main road , so you can not not see these buses driving around.
In Phan Thiet you get on the bus on the main road so just chill & get a coffee @ that bar sitting in front waiting for the bus.

Travel like a local is the cheapest way to get out of Vung Tau with a bus, doesn't matter where you want to go, you'll find the right bus there.
Just go to Vung Tau Bus Terminal and ask the guy sitting in the small cabin for the bus to ...( in our case Phan Thiet). The bus started at 9 am, so be there around 8:30 & you'll find buses in every direction. The size of the bus is like a long distance bus, we paid another 140.000vnd to keep our backpack with us on the seat, otherwise you need to store your big belongings in the chunk of the bus. Depends on where do you sit you can't have a look what people taking in & out. So we travel with Laptop, Drone etc. it felt saver to keep that stuff close & pay therefore a little extra fee.
By the way a taxi would have cost 1.200.000-1.800.000vnd.
There is also a website 12go.co to book transfers worldwide up front. Just know that they charge commissions for their service & if you have problems on site they can't help you. So my experience in asian country's is to just go to the main bus stations & you'll figure it out there pretty fast.

Up front it's the Cheapest way of getting around
You want to get around Vung Tau? The hole area is a flat surface, so riding a bike or a scooter doesn't make much difference except the prices. The bike costs for 30 Minutes just 5000 vnd.
How we did it
1. Download the TSGo App on your Appstore.
2. Register (Name etc. takes 1 Min)
3. Load some Money on that Account
On this point our european Credit Cards didn't work to put money on the account & we didn't have the "vietnamese Paypal" called ViMoMo or ViZaloPay.
Instead you can go on any of these side corner shops like Circle K & choose the amount you want to charge & press Deposit.
On your screen is now a (ca.10 digit) number code you show to the circle k person. S/He will ask you for your vietnamese phone number (Don't know the number? For vietnamobile call *123#). Give the counter lady/men the amount. If it's worked so you instantly that you account got loaded up with the money.
Note: Some employees don't know how to do it in these shops, so I recommend load up that account once with enough money & don't run 2-3 time's in a circleK because you wanted to save 1$ it's just not worth your time.
If you want to rent out 2 or more bike's called "Ride with friends" you need to verify your Account: Means make a picture of your Citizen ID Card (Back+Front) & go for a coffee/beer. After ca. 1 hours our account was verified.
Benefits:
- Cheap as fck
- Heaps of this bike stations
- Hole Vung Tau Area
- Done some sport ^.^
- You don't need to think about what happens when your rented scooter get stolen
Down Side:
- The verification process for renting out 2 bikes with one Account
- If your credit card doesnt work for charging, you need to find a shop
Would we do it again?
Yes.

Actually there are 2 ways to get up the hill to Christ of Vung Tau.
1. Main Entrance
2. Turn into the small street behind Luca Pizza and follow the road (by the way awesome restaurant if you like italian Pizza (5-10$))
The problem with Entry 1 (is the main entrance with shops, main steps & everything in front etc.) is they have opening hours until 5pm but they don't let you in for example @ 16:30 because they know it takes you longer than 30 min to get up their & back.
So in case you want to get up their for sunset or whatever ;-)
Benefits of 2. Entry:
- Leave & Go there whenever you want
- You can even drive up their with to scooter until the last 100 meter
- You are in the middle of the city on this way & you do not need to walk around
-It's actually easier to walk then the stairs on the main way
Losing side of 2. Entry
- It's just a normal path up their with no fancy steps & sculpture's
How we did it.
We thought the 2nd entry would be the main one because google maps showed us this way as the shortest. So we went up on this way & down on the main way.
Why am I writing this?
We've seen a bunch of Canadians, who didn't got in @ 4:15pm at 1.Entry. So we explained them to other way up & they been pretty happy about the info.
What I recommend is the best way to do it.
If you are right in time use the normal way in & go back the other path so you're directly in the city on the way back.

Two locals gave us a recommendation of Hoa Mai Minibus Company. On every corner of the Ho Chi Minh City Museum of Fine Arts Hoa Mai Buses waiting there.
The green line is the place where the buses to Vung Tau are standing. Just talk to driver & ask him for seats to Vung Tau. We paid with 2 big backpacks 150.000 vnd. It's more of a transporter so they have 9 seats.
The Acoustic bar in Ho Chi Minh is definitely worth a visit. Just to let you know, drinks are really expensive & therefore entry is free. So get drunk before & get in would be our recommendation. (The video here is just to give an idea of the bar) The regular fluctuation of musicians make's it always a different experience.
